Day 1
Day 1: Auckland to Whangarei
After starting the trip in busy Auckland, arriving in Whangarei is a breath of fresh air (literally). This costal town is an epic way to kick off this Northland trip.

Mount Manaia
The Mount Manaia track is a chill 4km hike up to the bluff where you get amazing views out over the harbor.

Matapouri Glamping (2 Nights)
Start your Northland adventure with a couple of nights in the incredible Matapouri Glamping. You'll sleep in a large safari tent that will give you the freedom to enjoy your stay in comfort and tranquility. Day 2
Day 2: Tutukaka
Some of the best diving in the world. Whether you're a scuba diver, or just love snorkeling you'll be spoilt in Tutukaka.

Join the Harding family for a unique Maori experience. To truly connect with this land, you need to immerse yourself with the indigenous people. Day 3
Day 3: Whangarei to Kaitaia
Leaving Whangarei you'll visit the mighty Tane Mahuta on the way to Paihia. Paiha is known as the gateway to the sandy beaches of the Bay of Islands.

Tāne Mahuta
Visit Tāne Mahuta, also called God of the Forest, is a giant kauri tree in the Waipoua Forest. Its age is unknown but is estimated to be between 1,250 and 2,500 years. It is the largest kauri known to stand today. It is named for the Māori god of forests and of birds.

The Huts Eco B&B (1 night)
Enjoy sleeping looking out over Shipwreck Bay in one of these awesome little surf huts. You'll have views up ninety mile beach as far as the eye can see.
Day 4
Day 4: Kaitaia to Bay of Islands
Drive up to the most northerly point of New Zealand. Cape Regina is a highly significant area to Māori, it marks the point from which Maori wairua (spirit) return to their traditional homeland.

Sand Boarding Te Paki
Possibly one of the most fun things you can so in Northland. Hire a sand board and enjoy as many runs down the dunes as your legs can handle.

Sunrise at Cape Regina
Enjoy one of the best sunrises in all of New Zealand. View the famous lighthouse which sits at the tip of the Te Paki Recreation Reserve. A highly significant area to Māori, it marks the point from which Maori wairua (spirit) return to their traditional homeland.

Titore Lodge (2 nights)
For your last two nights you'll stay in the incredible Titore Lodge which is located at one of the more secluded part of Bay of Islands. Wake up with incredible sea views. There are kayaks, paddle-boards and bikes available for the best way to explore the bay.
Day 5
Day 5: Bay of Islands
Visit Bay of Islands - the Island paradise of golden, sandy beaches & awesome little coastal towns.

Rainbow Falls
There are a few waterfalls to explore in Northland, but Rainbow Falls (Waianiwaniwa) is definitely one of the most impressive.

Parasailing Bay of Islands
You won’t believe how peaceful and quiet it is over the Bay of Islands from the sky. Just sit back relax and enjoy the amazing sceneries at 1300ft of line. If you're lucky you might spot dolphins, Orca’s and other marine mammals visiting the bay. This experience can be done in singles, or if you prefer shared as a couple.
Day 6
Day 6: Bay of Islands to Auckland
Time for the final leg of this Northland adventure. Make your way back to Auckland where you'll finish this trip.
