We're Giving Away an Eco Conscious Holiday to Tropical North Queensland

To celebrate the launch of our campaign with Tourism Tropical North Queensland and New Zealand adventurer Kyle Mulinder (@Barekiwi) we are giving away one eco-conscious holiday to the tropical north to one lucky traveller from Australia or New Zealand.

Tropical North Queensland is a leading eco-destination in Australia. Home to two natural World Heritage listed sites and the world’s oldest living culture, the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, Tropical North Queensland has the highest volume of eco-certified operators who support culture, community and the environment.

The Port Douglas and Daintree region, where the world’s oldest rainforest meets the Great Barrier Reef,  is Australia’s first Ecotourism-certified ECO Destination. While 80% of the region’s land is protected under World Heritage listing, 80% of the economic activity is from tourism. Eco-certified tourism experiences exist to help people choose consciously and travel more green to help preserve fragile ecosystems.

As part of the campaign, supported by PADI, GoPro, Crystalbrook Collective and Experience Co, Kyle Mulinder will visit some of the region’s most incredible tourism operators and create content to show Australians and New Zealanders why they should travel to Tropical North Queensland, and how their visit can make a positive impact.

A small group of people will have the opportunity to join this once-in-a-lifetime adventure with New Zealand adventurer, Kyle Mulinder. Guided by Bare Kiwi, they will explore Kyle’s favourite Tropical North Queensland locations, including a snorkel experience on the Great Barrier Reef's Outer Reef —the point where the complex coral system meets the great, wide ocean— a visit to Kuku Yalanji country with an Aboriginal guide, and a thrilling stop at Crystal Cascades where they will zip-line, abseil, jump, slide and climb through waterfalls and rock pools.

To celebrate the launch of the campaign, Airguides and Tourism Tropical North Queensland are giving away one eco-conscious holiday to the tropical north valued at over $3,500 to one lucky traveller from Australia or New Zealand.

The prize includes:

  • Return airfares to Cairns – both 100% carbon offset
