Tolmer Falls is one of the most spectacular falls in the magnificent Litchfield National Park. It cascades over two high escarpments into one deep plunge pool. A short walk takes you to 2 viewing platforms at the top of the gorge, opposite the most spectacular waterfalls in the park.

Located in the heart of cattle country, the Upper Finniss River meanders through the property, cattle and horses roam freely over the back fence and native birds and wildlife make themselves at home. Unlike Kakadu, with its sizeable distances between sites, Litchfield National Park has waterholes and waterfalls that are easily accessible. You can fit many of the park's sites into a day trip. Once inside the park's lush borders, make your first stop at the magnetic termite mounds – eerie, tombstone-like wonders of nature. We recommend exploring Florence Falls, and both the Upper & Lower Cascades.
Take a dip in Florence Falls. Located in Litchfield National Park, the spectacular Florence Falls cascade into a plunge pool, set in a pocket of monsoon forest.
About a 6km hike in total, both the upper and lower cascades are worth the effort. The Cascades have several small pools for swimming in, most of which are around half a metre deep.
Next to Florence Falls you'll find this popular swimming spot. Wade through the pools, absorb the scenic bush surrounds or sit and relax, as the cool water rolls over your shoulders.
Litchfield Tourist Park which is the perfect location to explore Litchfield National Park. Located in the heart of cattle country, the Upper Finniss River meanders through the property, cattle and horses roam freely over the back fence and native birds and wildlife make themselves at home. Tolmer Falls is one of the most spectacular falls in the magnificent Litchfield National Park. It cascades over two high escarpments into one deep plunge pool. A short walk takes you to 2 viewing platforms at the top of the gorge, opposite the most spectacular waterfalls in the park.

Unlike Kakadu, with its sizeable distances between sites, Litchfield National Park has waterholes and waterfalls that are easily accessible. You can fit many of the park's sites into a day trip. Once inside the park's lush borders, make your first stop at the magnetic termite mounds – eerie, tombstone-like wonders of nature. We recommend exploring Florence Falls, and both the Upper & Lower Cascades.
Take a dip in Florence Falls. Located in Litchfield National Park, the spectacular Florence Falls cascade into a plunge pool, set in a pocket of monsoon forest.
About a 6km hike in total, both the upper and lower cascades are worth the effort. The Cascades have several small pools for swimming in, most of which are around half a metre deep.
Next to Florence Falls you'll find this popular swimming spot. Wade through the pools, absorb the scenic bush surrounds or sit and relax, as the cool water rolls over your shoulders.
